Here you can see a photos from small Buddhist temple which is located near Sanchih in Taiwan. The whole temple is decorated with amazing murals made from sea-shells.

Every wall, almost everything is covered with artworks made from shells. There is not much information available online about this amazing temple however it is known that it is called Pei Khe Miao.

Heaven Lake  is a crater lake on the border between China and North Korea. It lies within a caldera atop the volcanic Baekdu Mountain, a part of the Baekdudaegan mountain range and the Changbai mountain range. It is located partly in Ryanggang Province.

Casa Batllo’s roof has been compared to a reptilian creature, the backbone of a gigantic dinosaur, the dragon killed by St. George (Sant Jordi being the patron saint of Catalan).

It seems that the goal of the designer was to avoid straight lines completely. Much of the facade is decorated with a mosaic made of broken ceramic tiles that starts in shades of golden orange moving into greenish blues.

From the balconies resembling the bones of animals to the scale like surface of the front facade, the building is a tour de force of an artist reaching the peak of his powers. At night the floodlit facade has an iridescence like the scales of a fish. This polychromic finish is known as trencadís.

The enlarged windows on the first floor gave it another nickname, ‘House of Yawns’.

Those stones are known as ’sailing stones’ and can be found near Racetrack Playa in Death Valley. They were studied by a number of scientists.

The Chocolate Hills is an unusual geological formation in Bohol, Philippines. It is composed of around 1,268 perfectly cone-shaped hills, all about the same size, spread over an area of more than 50 sq km The hills are covered in green grass that turns brown during the dry season, giving them the name “Chocolate Hills.”

The height of each hill is about 40 to 120 meters

Like a portal to wild spaces, a double rainbow hangs over the Alaska Highway in British Columbia, Canada. While rainbows display a brilliant array of colors, most of the radiation in the universe, from very long wavelengths picked up by radios to ultrashort ones seen by special x-ray and gamma-ray detectors, lies outside the rainbow of visible light.

Manikarnika Ghat is the main cremation Ghat of Varanasi. Manikarnika Ghat is one of the oldest and most sacred Ghats in Benaras. According to the Hindu mythology, being burned here provides an instant gateway to liberation from the cycle of births and rebirths. Lying at the center of the five tirthas, Manikarnika Ghat symbolizes both creation and destruction. At Manikarnika Ghat, the mortal remains are consigned to flames with the prayers that the souls rest in eternal peace. There is a sacred well at the Manikarnika Ghat, called the Manikarnika Kund. Manikarnika Kund is said to be dug by Lord Vishnu at the time of creation while the hot ashes of the burnt bodies makes one remember the inevitable destruction of everything in the world. The Manikarnika Ghat is also associated with Manikarnika Devi, a goddess worshipped by millions of pilgrims round the year. There is a small shrine of Lord Vishnu here too, containing the Lord’s sacred footprints. There is a holy Shiva Lingam in the place too.

Varanasi – the holiest city of the Hindus

Horsetail Falls is a small seasonal waterfall that only appears in late winter and early spring. It flows over the east side of El Capitan, so as a backdrop it has one of the most impressive walls of granite in the entire park. Then – only for part of February, and only when the sky is clear – the very last sunrays of the day selectively linger on the falls, lighting it up with a golden glow that makes the water look like lava.
